Privacy Policy

Bedone helps adults reduce compulsive pornography use through on-device content detection and optional accountability. Privacy is core to how the product works: we are built to keep your sensitive data on your device wherever possible.
What we collect
- Account email. Used to create and sign in to your account and to link the accountability relationship.
- Device identifier. A per-device ID used to associate your devices with your account and authenticate requests.
- Blurred detection images. When the app detects explicit content during a screen recording, the frame is blurred on your device before it is ever transmitted. A sharp image is never sent to or stored on our servers. The blurred image and a timestamp are shared with your chosen accountability partner.
- Subscription status. Provided by our payment processor (Stripe) to grant access.
How content detection works
Explicit-content detection runs entirely on your device using Apple's Sensitive Content Analysis. We do not receive your screen contents. Only blurred frames that the on-device model flags are transmitted, and only to your accountability partner.
How we use data
To operate the service: authenticate you, deliver accountability notifications to your partner, show your own detection history, and manage your subscription. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Who can see your data
Only you and the accountability partner you explicitly invite and who accepts. A partner sees your blurred detections only after accepting the invitation. You can remove a partner at any time.
Retention & deletion
You can delete your account and associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete account) or on the web. Deleting your account permanently removes your account, devices, detection records, and partner links from our systems.
Third parties
- Supabase — database/storage hosting.
- Stripe — payment processing (we never see your full card details).
- Apple — on-device Sensitive Content Analysis and push/notification delivery.
Children
Bedone is intended for adults (17+) and is not directed to children.
